My book is now on sale!
Hello everyone! This time, I’m sharing a piece that I’ve had in mind ever since I started writing regularly a few years ago.
Like many of you, I have been passionate about reading and writing ever since childhood. Although life can be busy and tiring, preventing us from making these activities part of our daily routine, we realise when we do find the time for them that they make us feel lighter, more at ease, and more fulfilled.
Sometimes, we want to take control. We defy life and devote our time to the activities we love. One night, we realise that we have lost track of time, either because we have been lost in a novel or because we have been writing for hours with our hands frozen stiff.
As these moments of contentment multiply and take root in our hearts, they become a habit. When we start doing this despite all our personal obstacles, big or small, we realise that change is on the horizon.
During that period, at least, we feel more productive. And we truly do achieve it. We welcome this feeling as if it were an unexpected burst of inspiration, peace or comfort. Then we notice that the books have spilled over the shelves and that we have run out of paper and ink.
Although we never want this wonderful feeling to fade, we must accept that it will not last forever. However, we must not overlook its true significance: if this feeling has visited us once, why should it not return?
It was during one such period that I reviewed what I had written over the past year and a half. I suddenly cast aside my passionate laziness, which I had never been able to bring myself to love before. And what did I find? I had compiled dozens of them. I selected the best ones, revised quite a few, wavered now and then, and added new ones to replace those that had been discarded.
I had nurtured this idea for years, alongside other projects. Without even realising it, I found myself immersed in these texts.
One unplanned late afternoon, I shook off my drowsiness and took a step forward. I sent these collected texts to the publisher to be printed. As time went by, I reached the end of the process. Through the words I have woven together, I have created poems and prose to warm our hearts.
My first book, “Dokuma Sözler”, (only in Turkish) comprising forty-five poems and prose pieces in total, is available to purchase from today. I wholeheartedly believe you will find fragments of your own feelings and thoughts within it.
I now leave it to you, my dear friends, to read, take notes on, and interpret. Please accept it as it is, flaws and all. I take comfort in the thought that I have left traces to remind us of our humanity, and I embrace them.
If you would like to buy my book, you can access a variety of channels and options via this link. I look forward to your reviews and ratings, regardless of where you purchase it from. Thank you all in advance!
As the saying goes, "better late than never" and that's exactly how I feel! Let's hope there are no further delays from this point on!
