My Feelings and Insights in My Second Year

As of 20 June, I had been writing regularly for two years. Although I had previously written for various blogs, columns and forums, it was when I started writing on Medium that I established a regular writing routine.
During this time, two of my accounts were closed for unknown reasons, despite my best efforts and those of the Medium 'authorities' to find out why. Fortunately, I also upload my writing to my own website, even if it is only in English. Of course, I keep offline backups.
Initially, I planned to write whenever I was bored. But for some reason, I couldn't stop. I continued writing in both languages, writing every day without exception at first. Over time, I changed this routine to every two days, then every three days, and finally to once a week. People should not force themselves to write; they should write in whatever way suits them best. It doesn't even have to be in a specific order.
According to my notes, excluding my film reviews and some special club articles, I am now writing my 241st article. When I started, I was very excited, but I doubted that I would be able to write 10–20 articles. Then, when the number reached 50, I felt differently. The same thing happened when the number reached 100 and then 200.
At some point, you realise that this way of acting offers more than just a new habit. To be honest, just like with our other habits, writing has not always been enjoyable. The main reason for this was not reluctance to write, but difficulty in finding topics. Even now, when I write weekly articles, I often find myself at a loss for ideas, so it amazes me that I managed to write every day at the beginning. I think I overcame this by turning writing into a habit and learning to enjoy it. I chose not to see it as a burden.
There are various positive aspects to writing in a structured manner. For example, it gives you the opportunity to express your thoughts. Sometimes, you cannot discuss a topic with your friends or find anyone to talk to about it. However, by writing about it, you can get it off your mind, relax, and raise awareness by sharing your thoughts.
You can share different thoughts and learn from them. Sometimes these thoughts may be similar, and sometimes they may represent opposing views. Even if you find those annoying, they serve as a reminder that they exist.
Sometimes we write to remember. What we write is mostly notes. At other times, we learn through the writing process itself. For example, we may need to do research to find out the truth. This is one of my favourite aspects of writing. Nobody wants to convey inaccurate information. In fact, we learn the importance of adding such information by citing sources where possible.
As you know, it eventually turns into a passion. Not being able to write can cause unease. Reading can provide comfort at such times. Whoever, whenever, however you choose.
Another issue is undoubtedly the platform on which it is written because, at that point, online sharing goes beyond the mere act of writing. You encounter new people and new words. The pleasure of reading emerges. What is written here often does not resemble the fiction found in books or the news in newspapers. It is a collection of academic or emotional writings containing both truth and error, originating from someone's mind. When we eliminate the robotic ones, these are what remain.
If we continue to explore what the platform offers, we will discover favourite writers. We encounter different ways of thinking. We meet new people. A communication network can form. Groups can be created. People with similar interests can come together. Opportunities for serious work can arise. It feels like the next step in the writing and reading process.

If I hadn't started using Medium that day, I would never have explored my thoughts, felt the need to express them, met new people, or confronted my passion for writing, which I had neglected all along. All of this came about because I was overwhelmed by emotion that day. Another platform might have worked just as well, but at the time, Medium was the obvious choice. Even now, it still seems to be the most viable option, alongside a few other well-known sites.
Overall, I can say that starting to write regularly has been very beneficial for me. While I have developed individually, it was the sense of community that pushed me to achieve more. Comparing my life before and after this experience, the difference is clear. I am now moving in a completely different direction in terms of ideas, goals and objectives. I am embracing this large, new process of writing, creating, participating and learning alongside like-minded individuals. I assure you that this will be one of the best things you can do for yourself. Just as you dedicate a lot of time to writing and reading, join a group where you can connect with like-minded people.
After two years, I am moving on. However, I will fondly remember all the experiences I had during that time. It becomes clear over time that certain processes are necessary to create something meaningful. This becomes apparent over time. I attribute the maturation of my writing style to everything I have written up to this point. As well as to their raw nature. Because this is an endless adventure.
My hope is to reach my 300th article and celebrate my third year of writing. I will strive to maintain this discipline. If necessary, I will come back here a fourth time, but I will persevere nonetheless.
With the hope of writing developmental articles, doing quality readings and meeting great people.
